Today's focus: Keeping old friends

If you've lost touch with your old gang of former work buddies and want to rejuvenate
acquaintances, consider looking for an online corporate alumni group or starting your own.
These sites are the place to go to reconnect with former colleagues, make new contacts,
learn about job opportunities and recruit fellow alumni.
Start by heading to Corporate Alumni at www.corporatealumni.com. This site contains discussion forums and contact information for previous
employees of nearly 100 companies, including American Express, Ernst & Young, Intel
and Polaroid, among others.
While many sites were built by former employees acting on their own, a few companies such
as Boston Consulting Group are actively involved in providing an alumni community. These
folks recognize former employees may want to rejoin the fold one day, so providing an
avenue for them to stay in touch with each other is just good business.
